Tested with different HDD and no BATTERY, same. They simply do nothing after power switched on except fans keep spinning (or spin for a sec then restarts in next two secs) and power lights keep green. Of course the only way to know that it is doing this is that the cpu fan is running. Wherever you see there is food crumps or dirt or you might suspect there is a short in the circuit clean it with Isopropyl alcohol and a tooth brush.
