If System Restore works in Safe Mode, then perhaps your antivirus program or a corrupted file is preventing it from starting. I also did manually a system restore, and it doesn't create a copy of files (for previous versions). it returns the same message as always. "Repair Windows Install" option does not help either. Also, if this info helps - last week I installed a new internal 2TB Hard Drive onto my computer - it's the "K:" drive.
