Ask Leo! What is this thing? I bought a registry cleaner. Run msconfig or autoruns (both described in this article) and look for a startup entry that matches that described in the knowledgebase article - that's likely the cause of the problem.
Unfortunately I am not very savvy when it comes to how the registry works. I wonder if I should enable them again and see what happens. If I try to select normal startup in msconfig.exe, it doesn't stick; always reverts to selective startup. 2.
